What about
weather? Do you still come if it is raining or snowing? |
|
| |
We usually work in
the rain and snow. A very heavy rainfall or winter storm may
stop us, though. Most often we are able to make up the work
later that same week
|
|
| |
Do I have to be
home for the service? |
|
| |
Nope, as long as we
can get into your property we are good to go!
|
|
| |
I normally lock
my gate. Is this a problem? |
|
| |
If you prefer to
lock your gate, we just ask that you unlock it on your
service day. Another option is to give us a key or the
combination. If the gate is locked when we visit, we will
leave a note letting you know we couldn't get in.
|
|
| |
Do you work
during winter? |
|
| |
Yes, pets can't hold
it in until spring. We will pick up what is visible and what
we can dig out of the snow. Since you don't want us digging
up your lawn, we will remove remaining waste as it is
uncovered during the melting process.

| |
What about
holidays? |
|
| |
Scoop Works is
closed on the major holidays. In the event that your service
day falls on a holiday, your service will occur either a day
early or the following day after the holiday.

Billing FAQ'S
|
|
| |
Do I have to sign
a contract? |
|
| |
Not at all. Your
service can be started or stopped at any time.
|
|
| |
How am I billed? |
|
| |
Payment is due at
the beginning of each month. For your convenience and record
keeping, Scoop Works will bill your credit card once each
month. Your monthly bill is determined based on the average
of 4.33 weeks each month (52 weeks/year ÷ 12 months/year).
For example if you want weekly service for one dog, your
monthly bill will be $43.33 plus tax
|
|
| |
Is there an extra
charge for the first time? |
|
| |
Sometimes. If the
pet waste has not been cleaned up for more than 2-3 weeks,
we may need to charge you more for the initial visit. In
this case we will get your approval prior to starting
service.
|
|
| |
What if I don't
need service for a few weeks? |
|
| |
Just notify us at
least one week in advance and we will put your account on
hold.
|
|
| |
Is it possible to
get a one-time-only service? |
|
| |
Yes!

Safety FAQ'S
|
|
| |
Can my dog(s) be
left in the yard during service? |
|
| |
That depends on your
dog(s). If your pet is good with strangers, there is no
problem having your pet(s) out during our visit. If you know
that your pet(s) are not good with strangers, please keep
them inside. Also, if we have a problem with a pet, we will
let you know and ask that you put it inside during our
visit.

|
| |
Why should I be
worried about cleaning up the waste in my yard? |
|
| |

|
|
| |
What is done with
the waste? |
|
| |
We take the waste
with us to insure that it is properly disposed of.
Also, this eliminates smelling up your garage and/or garbage
can. Scoop Works is currently researching a technology
that would enable us to recycle the pet waste. This
system breaks the waste down into methane gas which can be
refined into a natural gas substitute or burned in a
generator to create electricity. |
